Alula was created by someone who experienced cancer first-hand as a patient, caregiver and survivor. Our founder discovered that too much of the logistical, emotional, and financial burden falls on patients and caregivers without enough guidance or support from our healthcare system. The result is that cancer becomes even more lonely. Our patient-curated marketplace helps lift some of that burden by offering a selection of tried and true products that provide functional relief for the side effects and after-effects that come with cancer treatment. By investing in patients’ care beyond their hospital rooms, Alula is redefining what everyday recovery and survivorship feels like for cancer patients.
When you’re diagnosed with cancer, life can quickly become unrecognizable — from your physical and emotional well-being to your finances, work schedule and the way you view life itself. The management of side effects and after-effects of treatment persists outside the hospital room, where it becomes even harder to ask for help. And as difficult as it is for patients to ask for what they need, it’s also difficult for friends and family to learn how to participate in a patient’s recovery.
With Alula, it's easier to find, offer, and organize support. For instance, our Care Calendar takes away some of the stress of daily tasks — whether it’s a ride needed to a chemotherapy appointment or meal arrangements — by allowing volunteers to sign up. And our Recovery Registry makes it easier to know what products will be useful during or after treatment.
Alula supports people with all types of cancer. That's why we organized our marketplace and registry by treatment type (i.e. surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, transplant) and side effect (i.e. nausea, dehydration, dry mouth and mouth sores) instead of by cancer type.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8am-8pm Eastern Standard Time with limited hours on weekends.
Our hours of operation are MoWe completely understand that cancer waits for no one, so we are open as close to 365 days a year as possible. That being said, we will have limited communications or are closed on the following holidays:

You will still be able to place an order on our site, but we will get back to any messages received during these closure periods on the next business day.
We currently offer domestic shipping within the continental United States. International shipping is not available at this time.
We understand that you may need items shipped ASAP, as life moves faster than we may need it to. That being said, we’re here to help! We now offer an expedited, 2-business-day shipping method to the contiguous 48 states that is available at checkout for only $5.
The cost to maintain at-home care is expensive enough, so we wanted to help by providing a free shipping option to all of our customers. In addition, we have a $5, 2-day expedited shipping option to help deliver those “I need this ASAP” orders. Please note that order processing may take up to 3-5 business days after the order is placed before standard shipping begins.
Yes! We’ve teamed up with Sika Health to help you redeem your FSA/HSA for eligible Alula purchases. No receipts, no reimbursements, no hassle.
Just shop as normal then choose the Sika payment method at checkout. Once you create an account and securely provide your FSA/HSA information, your order will be shipped to you!

We offer a 30 day return policy on most items unless otherwise noted on the individual product page. If you would like to return your order, please go to myalula.returnly.com, enter your order # and shipping zip code, and follow the prompts to complete your return. Once completed, you will receive a shipping label to ship the item(s) back in new, unused condition with the original packaging.
Please note that shipping costs are not eligible for a refund.
If you would like to exchange your order, please go to https://myalula.returnly.com , enter your order # and shipping zip code, and follow the prompts to complete your exchange. Once completed, you will receive a shipping label to ship the item(s) back in new, unused condition with the original packaging. You will then receive a confirmation email for your new item!

Your order may take 3-5 business days to be processed and shipped, and, once your order is prepared for shipment, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation within 5 business days, feel free to reach out to hello@myalula.com where someone from our team will be able to help provide more information!
In cases of oversized or specialty orders, the items you’ve purchased may come in multiple shipments. However, you will be notified of this via email and will receive tracking numbers for each shipment.
We take matters like these very seriously. Please contact us at hello@myalula.com, and include your order number, so we can resolve the issue in a timely manner. In addition, you can go to myalula.returnly.com, enter your order # and shipping zip code, and process an exchange for a new item to ship ASAP.
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered, but you can't find it, please reach out to the shipping carrier for help locating the parcel. If you still need assistance, we’re always here! Please reach out to us at hello@myalula.com.
Unfortunately, we do not offer gift wrapping at this time.
Yes! You are able to add a physical gift note to your order by taking the following steps:
- Before clicking the "Checkout" button, click on the shopping bag icon on the upper right hand corner of your screen
- In your cart view, scroll down to the section labeled "Add a note to your order."
- Fill out your gift message of 300 characters or less.
- Continue with the standard Alula checkout process.
Your recipient will receive your gift note printed on their packing slip and will receive it when the first of their packages from you arrives!
We do! You can purchase a digital gift card for yourself or a loved one directly on our website.
Choosing products that will provide functional relief for yourself or a loved one is confusing enough as it is, so we are here to help!
